A wish to a shooting star
Have you ever made a wish when a shooting star was crossing that spotted sky above your head? I think I can truly guess how you felt that precise moment. I bet it felt special, didn’t it? So as all the stuff I’ve posted before, I want to write about something special, wishes.
Have you ever stopped and thought about what a wish is? - It’s not just something we want to happen or have, it’s something else, indeed. A wish is something very personal, and it’s personal since it reflects our inside’s deepest part, the bottom of it. Our darkest and, at the same time, purest thoughts. Our ambitions, dreams and desires are all condensed into our wishes. Inside us, there’s a whole universe of nothingness, fears and insecurities. But also, among all that nothingness, there are dreams, hopes, beliefs, feelings … Stars. And that’s exactly what a wish is, a cluster of feelings. Wishes are the stars in the universe of fear. Without them, the only thing which remains is that nothingness that will eventually tear us apart.
So why give up on those things that truly make us alive? What if they’re just that, dreams and hopes? Wishes have definitely a point, a use for us. They bring the light back when it seems to be gone. Wishes remind us what is that we’re fighting for. What we can achieve. We need wishes, in spite of they become true or not.
Wish with your heart. Wish with your mind. Wish with all you got. That’ll bring you the strength you’ll need to fight for what you want.
